BOOK NOW

BRBC's ‘Hope Renewed’ is a day of uplifting Bible teaching, worship, prayer and discussion around the theme of Hope.  Our wonderful speaker Helen Thorne (Biblical Counselling UK) will be leading us through the book of Habakkuk and exploring the true Hope found in trusting God in a broken and painful world.

Whether you are full of joy, or struggling; only been a follower of Jesus for a short time, or known Him for years; whatever stage of life you are in, or whatever church you go to, all are welcome to join us!

Arrival and registration is from 9.30-9.45am and the day will finish at 4pm.  Drinks and snacks will be provided throughout the day but please bring your own lunch

We have planned the day to be suitable for those aged 14 years and up. 14-17 year olds are warmly welcome to attend but must be accompanied by an adult.  We are an accessible church with a large car park.

Our Speaker

Helen Thorne is the Director of Training and Resources at Biblical Counselling UK. She is a speaker and author whose recent books include: Mental Health and Your Church; Hope in an Anxious World and 5 Things to Pray for a Suffering Friend. She is a Londoner at heart but, in February 2024, she gets married to Nick and moves to Hampshire.

Seminars

During the afternoon, we are pleased to offer five seminars on the theme of Hope, each run by one of the women from BRBC.  When you book your ticket, please select your first and second choice seminar and we will try to allocate you to your first choice where possible.

Hope in Loss

with Quincie Martin

We all face losses of different kinds…so how do we carry on when the losses we face feel too heavy, too challenging, too overwhelming? What if we even experience the loss of hope itself? In this interactive seminar we will make space to acknowledge the different losses we face and refocus our eyes on a good God, remembering that loss is not the end of our story.

Hope in the Family

with Kelli Hernandez

God is the creator of the family. Though an imperfect world has distorted His perfect design, God's word contains more than 150 references to generations highlighting the enduring covenant and hope promised to His people. This seminar will explore our role as women of faith in passing that hope on to our own future generations.

Hope in a Desperate World (NOW FULL)

with Emma Bryant

Christians have a sure and steadfast hope in Christ. The world is spinning out of control without hope. In this seminar we will look at how God’s passion for us can transform our lukewarm living - that we may live with renewed hope, humbled yet confident, compassionate but standing firm in Him - bringing the hope of this glorious gospel to those who have none. We come from a position of victory and steadfast hope, but do we dare to live accordingly?

Hope in the Every Day

with Liz Barnard

Our work - whether paid or unpaid, whether caring for others or analysing spreadsheets - takes up most of our waking hours. And yet, as Christians, we so often overlook our work, seeing it as the filler between the things that “really count.” In this seminar we’ll hear how God has a better plan for us helping us find hope, meaning, and purpose in our every day tasks impacting not only this world, but into eternity!

Hope for Gen Z

with Jess Grimwood

Designed for 14-19 year olds, this seminar will focus on how the Christian hope brings strength in the unique challenges faced by Generation Z. It will look at how the Bible offers a message of hope, purpose, and redemption for teenagers who are navigating the digital age and societal pressures. This seminar is aimed to equip young people to look to Jesus when navigating an ever-evolving world.

If you have any questions about the day, however small, please don’t hesitate to get in touch below.

Our Aim

Our aim is to equip women through the word of God that they would know the hope of their calling to walk in a manner worthy of Him, growing in their love for God, and others, all for His glory.

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23
