James
Lead Pastor / Elder
Hello! I’m James, the Lead Pastor at BRBC. I grew up in Suffolk and came to know Jesus in my late teens right here at BRBC. I am married to Quincie and we have two amazing kids Jude & Rosie. I love playing football and you may see me walking around the fields of Rougham with our lively dog Coco! I oversee the teaching, vision, staff team and pastoral care. I really enjoy getting to know people, helping them find their identity in Jesus, and seeing God work powerfully in their lives.
Terry
Elder
Hello everyone! I’m Terry and I serve as an Elder at BRBC. I also lead one of the church’s Community Groups. I’m married to Liz, and we have two wonderful, grownup children who live in the United States. Liz and I have resided in Bury St. Edmunds for nearly 25 years and worshipped at Garland Street Baptist Church before moving to BRBC.
I’m originally from California. When I retired from the U.S. Air Force, Liz and I worked for the Military Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, serving throughout Europe and in Russia.

David “Darv” Stannard
Elder
Hi, I’m David, however more commonly known as “Darv” at BRBC. I am married to Gwen and we live in a converted barn in Rougham with our lively Labrador dog called Margot. I have been attending BRBC since I was born and came to know Jesus, as my Saviour, at the age of twelve. Since then, I have had the privilege of serving in various ministries in the Church, including Sunday School, working with young people, serving as a deacon as well as building maintenance work and currently serve in the Leadership Team, as an Elder.
I have spent all of my working life working with wood as a Cabinet/Chair Maker. I love the diversity of commissions from various Designers to make furniture and also other bespoke projects. Away from my workshop, I enjoy walking our dog, going out for a meal and especially travelling to France where I can relax and do some maintenance work on the house. For me, this is the perfect combination for a holiday. It is my joy and privilege to serve my Saviour.
Glen McLellan
Children’s & Youth Pastor / Elder
Hi I’m Glen, and I’m the children’s and youth Pastor at BRBC, having moved here from Enfield in March 2021. I am married to Lydia with 2 kids, Daniel and Joshua, who have a lot of energy. I grew up in a town called Stevenage in North Hertfordshire. My favourite teams are Tottenham Hotspurs and the New England Patriots (Odd combo right?!!). I am a huge fan of dominos Meatador Pizza! Come say hello if you haven’t already. Will be great to meet you.

Hi, I’m Stuart. I’m married to Anna and we have 3 fantastic daughters. I was blessed to be born into a family where both parents were Christians and we attended a Baptist church in Stowmarket where I made a profession of faith in my early teens. I remained a committed member at Stowmarket until our family moved closer to Bury St Edmunds where we started attending BRBC. Since joining BRBC I’ve had the pleasure of serving in the Creche and now in Little Soldiers. I am also part of leading a Community Group.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, I love running and ‘trying’ to stay fit… but that tends to conflict with my other passion for good food! My work sometimes prevents me from being at church as much as I’d like so please say hi when I am there.
